This beautifully designed classroom is thoughtfully prepared for infants who are not yet crawling or walking, as well as those who have progressed to crawling and toddling. Pinnacle’s specially trained Montessori teachers focus on nurturing little ones from 6 weeks to 13 months of age.
The classroom is bright, welcoming, and carefully arranged with activities throughout the day that provide your child with the love, attention, and learning you would expect from an authentic Montessori environment. Our Montessori teachers begin by talking with your child from the very beginning, naming the people, objects, and environment around them.
Dr. Maria Montessori taught that children are in the developmental stage of the Absorbent Mind, during which they naturally absorb information from their surroundings at a rate that will never again be matched throughout their lives. This remarkable stage continues until approximately six years of age. It is also the reason babies learn their mother tongue naturally, without formal language lessons.
Throughout the day, children are introduced to activities that support large motor development, color matching, shape matching, songs, finger plays, and story time. Just like the “big kids,” also known as our Toddlers, infants participate in enriching experiences that are thoughtfully adapted to their developmental stage.
For our youngest infants who are not yet crawling or walking, every day is filled with cuddles, comfort, and loving care. At Pinnacle Montessori, we understand that you have entrusted us with your most precious treasure. Feeding, diapering, repositioning, and naps are all provided according to each child’s individual needs. Throughout the day, our teachers engage in warm, face-to-face interactions that foster trust, language development, and secure relationships.
As your child grows and develops new skills, they are introduced to walkers, jumpers, soft play climbers, grasping and dropping activities, push toys, and age-appropriate gross motor games. For safety, the classroom is thoughtfully divided into separate areas for walkers and non-walkers.
Weather permitting, our Infant Montessori class enjoys daily buggy rides outdoors. When outdoor walks are not possible, children enjoy movement activities and strolls in the gymnasium.
